Disney World – Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
Disney World Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. Spirit of Aloha is one of three dinner shows in Walt Disney world. You will be well fed and very entertained.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Located in Luau Cove at the Disney Polynesian Village Resort is the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. Before we begin, this is not an authentic luau, it’s more of a” bubblegum ” version of the luau.
The entertainment starts with the hostess (anti-Wini) inviting the villagers for a celebration for a local villager, that has been away. The shows celebration consists of hula women along with their male partners. There are also flame wheeling men with a touch of comedy.
The dinner show has two nightly showings in an open-air theater, at 5:15 PM and a later show at 8 PM. Please keep in consideration, the show will cancel if the temperatures drop below 50°. The pricing can vary based on time of the year,( peak season, holiday, value ) weekend is a different price then weekday. For the exact price for your visit, a simple call to Disney dining
(407) -WDW-DINE will accommodate you.
Keep in mind there are three categories seating arrangements which reflect price as well. Here is a chart showing the categories and pricing.
Cat 1 72.99 ADULT
Cat 2 67.99 ADULT
Cat 3 60.99 ADULT
Let’s talk about food, my favorite subject. This is a family style Polynesian all-you-care-to-enjoy feast. The three course Feast starts with a tropical mixed green salad accompanied with a mango poppy seed dressing, pineapple coconut bread, soba noodles and fresh sweet pineapple.
The main course is island barbecued Pulled pork, ribs, chicken, seasonal vegetables served with ginger rice. At this time, you want to loosen your belt and get ready for the desert. Okay, I admit I could skip the whole meal and just have two desserts.
Your server will present you with Kilauea Volcano delight. It’s a chocolate mousse served with a raspberry sauce. My mouth is watering at the moment.
I haven’t forgotten about the children, if your child doesn’t eat everything I have mentioned there is a menu for children 3 to 9 years old. Children’s menu consists of mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, peanut butter & jelly, or a hot dog.
Your beverages are included in your meal also including alcohol beverages your choices are:
Bud and Bud Light draft beer
Tea (hot or cold)
Coca-Cola soda products
Tropical cocktails (not listed) for adults can be purchased. Try the Island Breeze. A note of advice, drink it slowly. lol
I fully enjoyed my experience, however, it’s not a ” must do” every time I visit Walt Disney World. I recommend Spirits of Aloha Dinner Show to be experienced at least once. Years ago, the show was more authentic to a real luau, it has lost some of its appeal for me.
Give it a try, and let me know what you think. I would love to hear your story or thoughts. Leave it in my comments. You may sign up for my free monthly newsletter by clicking here.
