Snacks in the Magic Kingdom
Snacks in the Magic Kingdom. Disney World is known for their huge turkey legs, Dole Whips, and stuffed pretzels. If you aren’t familiar with the snacks, I promise I’ll address it in a bit there is a lot to cover here. To make this easier to follow, I’m going to break this down park to park. Here we go, this post will focus on the Magic Kingdom.
We enter the Magic Kingdom, all your senses are in overdrive. Let’s focus on your sense of smell. The smell of chocolate, vanilla, popcorn and cotton candy consumes you. You don’t know if you want to head for the rides or eat. Going up Main Street towards the castle, you’ll be passing the Confectionery shop, popcorn carts and the infamous Casey’s Corner (foot long hot dogs).
Depending on where you are in the Magic Kingdom a great snack is close by, let’s go through this land by land.
– Cool Ship– Grab a Frusta Pizza. A Frusta Pizza is a folded pizza-like snack, but if you are from the North East my best description would be somewhat close to a calzone. Frusta Pizza comes in cheese pepperoni and sausage.
– The Launching Pad– You’ll enjoy a warm stuffed pretzel, your choice of sweet cream cheese or pepper jack cheese.
–Anti-Gravity Galactic Goodies– when you are hot and sticky nothing is like ice cream shake to cool you down.
–Cheshire Cafe– Try a Cheshire Cat Tail, it’s a chocolate Danish twist decorated with stripes of purple and pink icing.
– Prince Eric’s Village Market– This is where you can satisfy your sweet tooth or if savory is your game, Try some sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies or a Pretzel Royale with Beer Cheese sauce.
–Gaston’s Tavern– Now we’re talking. Please oh please, have a warm cinnamon roll they’re DELISH, also big enough to share. Wash down the sweet treat with LeFou Brew. Yummy, it’s a frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with an all-natural mango foam. If you are in the mood for something more filling, try a ham and cheese soft pretzel
–Sleepy Hollow– Find a seat, you may want to spend some time here. I don’t know where to begin on this, how does a sweet and spicy chicken waffle sandwich sound? A pretzel dog? Well, I’ll tell you one of my favorites at Sleepy Hollow… Imagine sinking your teeth into a fresh fruit waffle sandwich stuffed with chocolate hazelnut spread. I’m talking cloud nine! If that seems like a bit too much, funnel cake may be your better choice. If you are in the Magic Kingdom with a hankering for a quick breakfast you may be interested in the breakfast and cheese waffle (served until 12 PM)
–Liberty Square Market– This is the place everyone looks for why? The answer is simple, huge turkey legs.
–Peco Bills Tall Tale Inn and Cafe-a very popular snack are the Churros. Churros are served with a chocolate sauce.
–Aloha Isle– Dole Whip Anyone? Dole whips are extremely popular with Walt Disney world fans. Sweet pineapple, icy cold, and the best part… low in calories
–Sunshine Tree Terrace– Try a Citrus Swirl or maybe an icy cold slush
Main Street U.S.A.
–Plaza ice cream Parlor– Sweet, creamy and rich. Do I have your attention? How does a doughnut Sundae sound? I’ll answer that for you in one word…. Heavenly!
There are plenty more snacks like popcorn, cupcakes, nachos, and cinnamon glazed almonds.
Let me know your thoughts. What are your favorites? Share your favorite snack. I’d love to hear from you
